| I am a native speaker of english although I am competent in all german, spanish and french having lived in Spain, France and Switzerland. I run tours around New Zealand both in hiking and biking around New Zealand so my practical and spoken use of german is excellent. I also am very competent in french having a degree in french and having lived there in 2008 for the year running bike tours around France for english speaking clients where my french interpreting skills were a must especially in the little villages of provence where english is rarely spoken. part of my degree is also in spanish so my written and spoken spanish is also very good and I also lived over there in 2009 in girona near Barcelona where I used spanish in a practical environment every day. As I also run tours for backpackers around the world in my New Zealand winter currently, I am always furthering my language skills speaking either german french or spanish in some form or another nearly every day. I'm currently looking to further what I have to offer by using my language skills online for translation and interpretation especially in the evenings and it is something I can do both at home and when I am on the road.
