Have more than 10 years of experience in the education field. Have taught English as a Second Language to people of different ages, from Kindergarten kids to adults in the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. As an Elementary School Teacher I have taught subjects like: SPELLING, PHONICS, READING, GRAMMAR, LANGUAGE ARTS, SCIENCE, MATH, SOCIAL STUDIES, PE, HANDWRITING. In the Secondary School Level I taught English as a Second Language as part of the mandatory curriculum of the Honduran Education Standards. Teaching Adults: Before moving to the US in the year 2006 I owned and operated a Private Language Academy in the city of Juticalpa, Olancho; Honduras, Central America. I taught ESL Courses for adults in the beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. Also in combination with my computer skills I translated different kinds of documents like: Birth Certificates, Marriage Certifications, Driver's Licenses, and other legal documents. Before graduation (in 1995) I worked as an interpreter for crews of voluntary physicians who provided free medical attention to poor people in the area of Comayagua, Honduras, C.A. This was a part of a project named MISSION HONDURAS. | |
