| Mr. Frank Mou earned his BA in English Language and Literature from East China Normal University and MA in Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh. A longtime member of such professional organizations as Shanghai Interpreters Association, Translators Association of China and American Translators Association, he has been very active in the fields of translation and interpreting in the past 30-odd years. He was elected the first Administrator of Chinese Language Division under ATA. Now Mr. Mou resides in USA and serves as a contract linguist for the Department of State and a registered court interpreter in the state of Pennsylvania. He has been an invited speaker at workshops of ATA national conferences and was a presenter at the 18th World Congress of Translation of International Federation
of Translators. He is also a frequent contributor to translation/interpretation publications such as Chronicle. As a full-time freelancer, He has translated and edited many official documents including bilateral/multilateral treaties, protocols, agreements and business contracts. He has been involved in developing localized websites for both private and public sectors and has compiled several online Chinese-English dictionaries. He has translated prospectuses and financial statements for many IPO Chinese companies listed in NYSE and NASDAQ, and coordinated several large translation projects. Mr. Mou also renders consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services at courts, international conferences, academic seminars, and trade negotiations for governments, business and international organizations. |
